Owen Burgoyne was a unique and beautiful light who added immense joy to the lives of every person he encountered. We at the Learning Zone were fortunate enough to know and care for Owen and learn more about what it meant to live life to the fullest and enjoy the ride.
Owen was sweet, smart, funny, and occasionally, mischievous ;). He saw and experienced the world through a different lens and perspective. His laughter could fill a room and smile brighten it in an instant. It was impossible to not love Owen. His memory will fill our hearts and halls for decades to come.
In light of the heartbreaking loss of Owen, we are honored to start a donation fund at the Learning Zone in memory of Owen. Our Learning Zone community will never be the same without Owen but, we know his legacy can live on.
We extend our deepest condolences to Owen’s family, friends, and caretakers, and thank his mother, Lauren, father, Nick, and sister, Gwen for sharing Owen with our school and changing our lives forever in the process.
